Seres, a Chinese electric vehicle maker partnering with tech giant Huawei, says its January deliveries slumped more than 51 percent from a year ago, trailing behind most of its domestic peers.
The Chongqing-based EV maker said it produced 17,906 units last month, 51.39 percent fewer year-on-year.
In comparison, BYD (1211) said it sold about 300,538 new-energy vehicles in January, up by 49 percent from a year earlier. XPeng’s (9868) deliveries surged 268 percent year-on-year to 30,350 units, topping the list of emerging carmakers.
Seres was earlier reported to be considering a secondary listing in Hong Kong to raise over US$1 billion (HK$7.8 billion).
