As the government starts relaxing Covid-19 social-distancing rules, the twelve shopping malls managed by Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) – including Park Central and Mikiki – are launching all-day discounts to lure shoppers, with special offers such as shopping coupons, points reward and free parking given out after 6 pm.

Customers welcome the greater flexibility as restaurant dining times have been extended to 10 pm from yesterday onwards, and eateries can allow four people to share a table rather than two.
SHKP recognizes now is more than an apt time for Hongkongers to celebrate the Spring Festival with their loved ones, and seizes the golden opportunity to roll out special offers.
In particular, Mikiki in San Po Kong, East Point City in Tseung Kwan O, and Chelsea Heights in Tuen Mun have launched attractive promotions during the Chinese New Year, with discounts as high as 40 percent after 6 pm. Customers with a spending of HK$300 or more are entitled to HK$120 mall coupons.
Fitness venues, beauty parlors and cinemas are also among the businesses allowed to reopen. While enforcing strict precautionary measures, the twelve shopping malls are working in close collaboration with merchants to offer additional discounts in driving customer flow and sales throughout the day.
At Park Central, another shopping mall in Tseung Kwan O, various entertainment venues – including “The Frozen” Exhibition – are launching discounts to stimulate sales after reopening, including points reward for members that are 6 times of the original.
“The recent drop in confirmed Covid cases and the easing of gathering restrictions are no doubt good news for shopping malls, merchants and citizens,” says Fiona Chung, Director of Sun Hung Kai Real Estate (Sales and Leasing) Agency Limited.
“We hope the many generous discounts will help drive the average monthly increase of 10 to 15 percent in customer flow, and stimulate sales to a monthly increase of 8 to 10 percent.”
