China remains biggest driving force for global economy, Premier Li says

China's Premier Li Qiang said on Thursday that the world's second-largest economy remains the biggest driving force for the global economy and that policymakers would take "forceful steps" to boost domestic consumption.

Speaking at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank's annual meeting, China's second-ranking official added that the country's $19 trillion economy had shown stability over the second quarter.
