Boy got his head trapped when riding on escalator

A boy in Henan got his head trapped in the narrow gap between the escalator and the wall.

The video, posted on Saturday by the Fire and Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency, showed the boy sticking his head and arm out of the escalator in a mall in Xinyang city. 

His head get caught when the escalator went up. His older sister holds him up immediately to prevent him from any more serious injuries. 

A passerby pressed the emergency stop button and helped to call the police. The firefighters break the outer layer of the wall and remove the escalator handrail to free the boy. 

The boy had difficulty breathing and felt unwell after being rescued as his head was trapped for a long time. 

After being sent to the hospital, the boy's face and ears were found to be slightly bleeding, and recovered after treatment. It is known that the incident occurred in late June.
