Wang fell from the hotel's balcony at around 3am on February 8 in Na Kluea of Bang Lamung district. Rescue workers rushed him to hospital.
A hotel security guard noted the balcony had sturdy iron railings with gaps too narrow for an adult to pass through easily, raising questions about the incident's cause.
When police arrived to investigate the victim's room, more than 10 men, reportedly Chinese and Thai nationals claiming to be his friends, blocked their entry.
Bang Lamung Police have taken photos as evidence and coordinated with investigators to further examine the scene, determine if the people present were involved, or if the fall was an accident.
