Local gourmands will have a field day at two upcoming weekend markets where they will discover a plethora of French delicacies, beverages and wines.

As the ‘marché’ (traditional outdoor market) is deeply rooted in French art de vivre (lifestyle), French GourMay, in partnership with Chinachem Group, proudly presents the 8th edition of French Traditional Gourmet Market at Central Market from 19-22 May, and at Nina Mall I, Tsuen Wan from 26-29 May. Opening time is from 11am to 8pm, and admission is free.
French markets are famous for their abundant choices of fresh local produce and friendly vendors in the neighbourhood. Visitors will be introduced to an array of exquisite grocery products, including cheese, cold cuts, pates, fruit jams, foie gras, caviar, as well as cakes and bouquets, and not forgetting fine wines from Côtes du Rhône, the Wine of Honour for this year’s French GourMay Food & Wine Festival.
Visitors can also join master classes for a deeper understanding and appreciation of Côtes du Rhône wines; buy craft souvenirs made of recycled wine bottles; enjoy digital art presented by French May Arts Festival; and take photos of a virtual journey to Côtes du Rhône.
