China says resolving trade frictions with Europe through dialogue is important

China and Europe should resolve economic and trade frictions through dialogue, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told a diplomatic adviser to French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday, according to a foreign ministry statement.

China hopes to work with France to uphold "true multilateralism" and advance the healthy and stable development of Sino-French and Sino-European relations, Wang was quoted as saying in a phone call with the French diplomat, Emmanuel Bonne.
