The Commerce Ministry in Beijing said on Tuesday it had put PVH Corp, the holding company for brands including Calvin Klein, on its unreliable entity list.
It said the company took what it called "discriminatory measures against Chinese enterprises" and "damaged" the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies.
PVH Corp came under investigation by the ministry over allegations of boycotting Xinjiang cotton in September.
Its financial report showed that both Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, another brand owned by PVH, saw a year-on-year decline in international revenue in the first half of the 2024 fiscal year.
PVH singled out challenges in the consumer environment in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in China and Australia, for the decline in international revenue that it saw in the second quarter of 2024.
