The Chinese mainland reported that 108 more people are infected with the new coronavirus and that two people died in Hubei province Sunday.
The tally of infections increased to numbers to 82,160 and deaths increased to 3,341, the National Health Commission, said today, the China Daily reports.
Apart form the two who died in Hubei six new suspected cases were reported Sunday, all from abroad.
A total of 72 people are still suspected of being infected with the virus, all from abroad, and there are 1,156 confirmed cases across the country.
For newly confirmed cases, 98 of them were imported from abroad and the northeastern province Heilongjiang reported seven local cases and southern province Guangdong reported three.
As of Sunday, China had 1,378 imported confirmed cases, 511 of them have been cured and discharged from hospital, and 38 are still in severe condition.
The health records of arriving air passengers are checked at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport, on March 28.
