Yu Cheng is the wife of Adrian Cheng Chi-kong, who stepped down as executive vice-chairman and chief executive of New World Development (0017).
CTF Education expressed appreciation for Yu Cheng’s strategic leadership, citing significant growth in the K-12 education sector across Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area under her tenure.
Yu Cheng founded the Girls Impact Foundation, a charitable organization on a unique mission to uplift the status of women in society, according to the company’s website. By June 2023, the foundation had benefited over 3,000 teenage girls from schools across Hong Kong through its programs and initiatives.
The group said it is restructuring its governance to support future growth, including setting up a management committee to oversee its institutions and appointing executive vice president Anna Adasiewic to lead its Hong Kong office, reporting directly to the committee.
