Alibaba founder Jack Ma spotted at Hangzhou office

Alibaba (9988) founder Jack Ma Yun was seen at the company's Hangzhou office today, mainland media reported.

The founder was wearing a black Alibaba-branded jacket, smiling and waving to employees, said local media.

Alibaba's shares jumped nearly 3 percent in the morning session. It last traded at HK$106.00, up about 0.47 percent from its previous close. 

The stock has gained nearly 30 percent this year.
