China Telecom president Liang Baojun steps down

Liang Baojun has stepped down from his positions as China Telecom (0728) executive director, president and chief operating officer with effect from Monday, the company announced.

His resignation comes due to a “change in work arrangement,” the telecom giant said in a filing.

Liang has fulfilled his duties with diligence during his tenure and played a “significant role in the continuous and deep implementation of the cloudification and digital transformation strategy of the company, comprehensively deepening reforms and opening up and accelerating the promotion of high-quality development,” the filing read.
