The Hang Seng Index ended a six-day losing streak, closing up 345 points, or 1.83 percent, with main board turnover rising to HK$157.68 billion.

The Technology Index closed at 4,352 points, up about 3.1 percent. Nearly all the constituents of the index saw gains, with the best performer, XPeng Motors (9868), soaring around 8.5 percent.
Tencent (0700) rose 2.46 percent, Alibaba (9988) climbed 2.37 percent, Meituan (3690) surged 5.02 percent, Xiaomi (1810) advanced 2.9 percent, JD.com (9618) jumped 5.35 percent, and Kuaishou Technology (1024) increased 4.9 percent.
Consumer stocks performed well overall, with Nongfu Spring (9633) rising more than 5 percent, making it the top-performing blue-chip stock. Mobile device and automotive stocks also saw notable gains.
The China Enterprises Index gained 143 points, or 2.09 percent, to close at 6,987 points.
