Shanghai Commercial Bank appoints new chief executive-designate

Shanghai Commercial Bank appoints Wallace Lam Wing-ted as chief executive-designate, with effect from 2 January 2025. 
Lam will assume the role subject to a handover from Charles Ma Chi-man who will continue to serve on the bank board as director. 
The bank chairman Stephen Lee Ching-yen said Lam will further lead the bank's next phase of development in business, digital transformation and sustainability.
Lam was managing director and head of institutional banking group of DBS Bank (Hong Kong).
