Hang Seng rallies at close

Hong Kong stocks rallied at the close today. The benchmark Hang Seng Index jumped by 448.81 points, or 1.88 percent at 24,280.14.

In mainland China, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index closed at 2,815.50, up by 0.25 percent. The Shenzhen Stock Exchange Composite Index was flat at 1,738.05.
