A small plane operated by Indonesia Air Transport, carrying 11 passengers and crew, went missing on Saturday after departing from Yogyakarta, Java, bound for Makassar, South Sulawesi.

Contact was lost shortly after 1pm local time, with the last signal detected in a mountainous area near Makassar.
Search and rescue teams, including air force and police, have been deployed to Maros Regency, bordering Makassar, for ground and aerial operations.
Authorities believe the aircraft has crashed.
