Ground staff reportedly misjudged the parking space clearance, failing to account for the 737Max's wider wingspan. Video footage shows the aircraft's wingtips scraping against two adjacent parked planes during the docking maneuver, producing sharp screeching sounds.
The incident, shared by aviation news account "Breaking Aviation News & Videos," shows the aircraft slowly approaching the parking bay before making contact with both neighboring planes. The exact timing remains unconfirmed, with damage assessment ongoing.

FlightAware data indicates the involved Air Canada aircraft (registration C-FGKN) last operated a passenger flight from Quebec City to Toronto on October 10. Air Canada confirmed the incident is under investigation by relevant departments, declining further comment.
This follows another recent ground collision at New York's LaGuardia Airport where two Delta Connection CRJ-900 regional jets collided during taxiing, resulting in one aircraft's wing being sheared off.
