Ana Paula Veloso Fernandes, 36, was captured along with her twin sister Roberta and classmate Michelle Paiva da Silva, 43. Police discovered prohibited pesticide terbufos in Ana's residence, believed to be the murder weapon.
The killings occurred between January and May across Guarulhos, São Paulo, and Duque de Caxias. The first victim, Marcelo Fonseco, died four days after Ana posed as a tenant renting his property. She later poisoned Maria Aparecida Rodrigues after meeting through a dating app, and killed her classmate's 65-year-old father Neil Correia da Silva for 4,000 reais payment. Her final victim was 21-year-old Tunisian ex-boyfriend Hayder Mhazres, poisoned in a milkshake after rejecting reconciliation.
