Regina Ip says lawmakers should also take pay cut

New People's Party lawmaker, Regina Ip Lau Suk-yee, said today lawmakers should also take a 10 percent pay cut.

Ip said lawmakers as public servants should also follow the Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, principal officials and Executive Council non-official members and take the same pay cut to show that they are willing to share hardships and difficulties with the public.

She believes that it would be better if Lam had made the decision earlier, but said she understands that the government has a lot of considerations.
