The death of Igor Bogdanoff, 72, confirmed on Monday night, was six days after Grichka passed away in a Paris hospital, also of Covid.
Neither were vaccinated against Covid, though Luc Ferry, a friend and ex-education minister, said he urged them to get inoculated "countless times." They refused, saying they were "very sporty, without a gram of fat."
Ferry added: "Grichka, like Igor, wasn't an anti-vaxxer. He was anti-vax for himself."
The Russian-origin twins shot to fame as presenters of science show Temps X on the France's TF1 channel then became science writers.
They denied having plastic surgery to explain their transformed looks, but said "experimentations" gave them extremely high cheek bones, large lips and pronounced chins.
"We're proud of having faces like extra-terrestrials," they said in 2010.
