Kim Soo Hyun's agency Goldmedalist faces financial crisis amidst scandal and brand withdrawals

South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun is currently facing a difficult time due to a scandal that has affected both his reputation and the finances of his agency, Goldmedalist. 

Recent reports indicate that Goldmedalist is in financial trouble after several brands ended their partnerships with Kim, which is costing the company about six billion won, equivalent to around HK$31 million. 

Financial experts suggest that the agency has only around two to three billion won in cash available, making their situation quite challenging.

Although making his first direct response after 21 days amid ongoing rumors of his relationship with the late actress Kim Sae Ron, many still seem to have not rallied behind him.

There has been a petition urging lawmakers to amend statutory rape laws to include ages 13 to 19, as the current law only covers minors aged 13 to 16, leaving older teenagers without adequate legal protection.
