Founded in 2017, Stamford American School Hong Kong leads progressive education by adapting to global changes and leveraging cutting-edge resources for student development. This fall brings the new West Kowloon campus and enhancements like the Scholarship program, emphasizing tailored paths and vital skills to help students pursue passions in a global arena.
New West Kowloon Campus: A Center for IB-Inspired Innovation
Head of School Mr. Andrew Noakes announces the eighth-year milestone: a secondary campus in West Kowloon’s Olympic district for high schoolers, complementing the Pre-primary to Grade 12 experience.
Featuring adaptable spaces, advanced labs, arts areas, and design studios, it fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, creativity, and leadership—core to IB success.
“Our West Kowloon campus is more than expansion; it’s our pledge to visionary learning,” Mr. Noakes stated. “With Ho Man Tin for younger grades, we shape confident global thinkers.”
Bridging Horizons: The American Curriculum’s Seamless Transition to IBDP Achievement
The secondary curriculum blends American foundations with IBDP from Grade 9, using inquiry to enhance global ethics and scholarship in Grades 11-12. Cornerstones in Grades 9-10 explores careers for more profound insight.
Results shine in the Class of 2025: 24% bilingual diplomas, one 44-point score, 200+ offers from 100 universities in 10 countries (25% QS top 100), and an average of four acceptances. Highlights: Imperial, UCL, HKU, HKUST, and the University of Toronto. 80% dual diplomas broaden futures.
The Spirit of Stamford Scholarship—up to 75% IBDP tuition—draws elite students in academics, leadership, STEM, or arts. Alfred (Class of 2025), joining Grade 9 from a local school, volunteered via HandsOn Hong Kong, scored 43/45, and is pursuing medicine. “Stamford realized my dreams; the scholarship changed everything,” he shared. It cultivates integrity, courage, innovation, compassion, and scholarship for leaders.
Personalized Pathways: Aspirations Kindled from Grade 9 Forward
STEMinn ignites innovation from age five, fusing STEM and arts to fuel secondary ambitions.
Trevor (2025) chose engineering after the Grade 10 drones project and headed to HKUST. Merrick (2024) found his passion for architecture via Cornerstones and is now studying at the University of Melbourne. Stamford’s ambitious, diverse community drives lasting change. Commitment to potential persists.
