The results for the Legislative Council Election Committee constituency are the first to be announced, with 40 seats filled from 50 candidates.

Yiu Pak-leung, who switched from the tourism sector, secured the highest number of votes at 1,397. Current legislator Chan Hoi-yan became the top female vote-getter with 1,386 votes. All 24 incumbent legislators seeking re-election in this sector were successful.
Several newcomers successfully entered the legislature, including National Committee member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Andrew Fan Chun-wah, businessman Kevin Albert Chuang Ka-pun, Hong Kong deputy to the National People's Congress Ginny Man Wing-yee, and former police officer Chan Cho-kwong.

The Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong saw all eight of its candidates elected. These include incumbents Chan Han-pan, Elizabeth Quat Pui-fan, Rock Chan Chung-nin, Nixie Lam Lin, Chan Wing-kwong, Steven Ho Chun-yin, and newcomers Chu Lap-wai, a Hong Kong deputy to the National People's Congress, and Kwun Tong District Council member Hung Kam-in.
The Federation of Trade Unions fielded four candidates, but only incumbents Kingsley Kwok Wong and Dennis Leung Tsz-wing secured seats. Both vice-chairwomen Ma Kwong-yu and Tsang Chi-man were defeated.
Ten candidates lost their bids. Former Political Assistant to the Secretary for Development Fung Ying-lun ranked 41st with 988 votes, 14 votes less than the final successful candidate, barrister Lawrence Wu Ying-peng. Other unsuccessful candidates included former President of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors Lawrence Lau Chun-kong and General Secretary of the Federation of Public Housing Estates Chiu Kwok-wai.
