Over 400,000 gather at Victoria Harbour for countdown fireworks to welcome 2025

The sky over Victoria Harbour showcased a breathtaking fireworks musical on New Year's Eve, attracting hundreds of thousands of spectators to enjoy the countdown extravaganza.

The show – with the theme of "The Symphony of Happiness" – provided various forms of nature through spectacular fireworks effects as well as live performances from multiple singers on the observation deck to convey wishes for prosperity.

The fireworks display dazzled with four striking effects, including a first-ever feature for the city, and synchronized with a blend of Western classical and Chinese music.

Before the fireworks show, a giant countdown clock also illuminated the glass curtain wall of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center and flashed "2025" at the stroke of midnight.
