An artsy affair
Taipa Village Art Space has been transformed into a contemporary art museum for the very first time. From now till 22 September, ‘The First Contemporary Art Museum of Macau by Felix Vong’ promises a thought-provoking experience through appropriation art.
Born in Macao and now completing his master’s degree in Lisbon, Vong is a young, up-and-coming artist who plays with imitation and fakes to explore the blurry line between real and copy. On display are over 25 of Vong’s imaginative reinterpretations of iconic works by the likes of Andy Warhol, Banksy and David Hockney. Half were created solo by Vong and half in collaboration with Portuguese artists.
