Tsukada Nojo, the Japanese izakaya chain known for its premium hot pot, is closing all its Hong Kong branches and exiting the local market amid widespread challenges in the city’s food and beverage industry.
The chain announced its closure of all operations in Hong Kong via Instagram on September 1, thanking the local community for their support.
Established in 2017 with its first branch in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, the brand later expanded to Tseung Kwan O, Sha Tin, and Kwun Tong.
Operated by Japan’s AP Company -- which has over 60 branches worldwide -- Tsukada Nojo is known for sourcing fresh ingredients from its own and partner farms, particularly its popular Bijin Nabe (beauty hot pot) made from farm-sourced chicken.
The restaurant also offered a variety of izakaya dishes, including Kuroge Wagyu and Matsusaka beef, alongside sake and shochu.
Last year, the Tseung Kwan O branch introduced a well-received 13-Dish Breakfast for HK$88, featuring a range of authentic Japanese breakfast items.
