Popular Hong Kong-born comedian Jimmy O. Yang will return to his birthplace to stage a stand-up comedy show in June, his first major performance in Asia, with tickets starting at HK$380.
The 37-year-old Hong Kong-American comedian will perform his show "Jimmy O Yang Live in Hong Kong" at the Hong Kong Coliseum in Hung Hom on June 14 at 8:15pm, with tickets priced at HK$780, HK$580 and $380.
Priority booking exclusively for HSBC credit card holders will begin on Friday 2pm on Cityline, followed by a presale on travel platform Klook on next Tuesday 12pm. Public sale will begin next Thursday at 10am on the URBTIX ticketing system.
Yang, who had attended Hong Kong Wah Yan College, moved to the United States at the age of 13. He graduated from the University of California, San Diego, with a degree in economics.
His unique perspective, shaped by his experiences as an immigrant and his Asian heritage, has resonated with audiences, particularly within the Asian community in the United States.
Yang, who is also an actor, is most recently known for starring in Interior Chinatown, a 10-episode action comedy-drama series. He plays Willis Wu, a waiter in Chinatown who discovers that he is merely a background character in a fictional police show.
He is also known for his roles in television series Silicon Valley, Hollywood movie Crazy Rich Asians and Netflix film Love Hard.

In March, Yang made a short trip back to Hong Kong, where he met with the city's legendary comedian Dayo Wong Tze-wah and actor Chow Yun-fat. He has shared that Wong is his inspiration for starting a career in comedy.
