Tencent's (0700) major shareholder Naspers further reduced its holdings in the company, though the Chinese tech giant has been developing new games recently.
Dutch technology investor Prosus, majority-owned by South Africa's Naspers, sold 474,000 shares in Tencent for HK$194 million last Friday, leading its stake in the tech giant to decrease to 23.99 percent.
Prosus started cutting its stake in Tencent in June 2022 to support its share buyback schemes.
Earlier, Prosus said its core headline earnings jumped 89.5 percent during its six months ending in September, driven by accelerated growth and improved profitability of its e-commerce businesses and sales of its shares in Tencent.
In other news, Tencent will develop and publish a localized version of The First Berserker: Khazan in China in partnership with Nexon, the Tokyo-listed company said.
The PC game will be based in the Dungeon & Fighter universe, expanding on this year's successful launch of DnF Mobile in China.
In August, the two said they would publish ARC Raiders and The Finals, specially adapted for Chinese players.
