Three show flats for Double Coast I in Kai Tak are wooing buyers looking for a home in one of Hong Kong's blossoming seaside destinations, with sales now under way.
Double Coast's developers - Wheelock Properties, Henderson Land Development (0012), New World Development (0017) and China Overseas Land & Investment (0688) - turned to Sydney's famed waterfront for inspiration for the project.
Circular Quay, which lies at the heart of the Australian city's harbor, is a vibrant tourist spot and port bordered by the iconic Sydney Opera House and Royal Botanic Garden on one side and the Sydney Harbour Bridge on the other, with a range of restaurants and bars.
Offering panoramic views from both sides of Victoria Harbor, Double Coast draws its name from Circular Quay's double coastline, while taking inspiration from its greenery and urban chic.
The show flat based on unit A on 23rd floor in Tower 3 has an area of 440 square feet with two bedrooms and an open kitchen.
The interior decor highlights the waterfront theme and features earth-tone furniture and the colors of the sea.
The living room houses a large off-white fabric chaise lounge with a matching round coffee table. Opposite it is a shelf on which a large artwork is placed, creating a comfortable and inviting ambiance.
The wave-like patterned wall behind the sofa alludes to the theme of coastal living.
The living room extends onto a balcony, from which residents can appreciate panoramic views of the harbor.
The spacious master bedroom has a closet and dressing table and a large window which lets in natural light and allows residents to enjoy sea views.
The second bedroom is fitted with single bed, a open closet and furniture.
The open kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, refrigerator, laundry machine and cabinets for cooking utensils.
The bathroom's walls are covered by natural marble for a touch of luxury and a washbasin from Dusche.
Another show flat, based on unit B on 28th floor in Tower 3, has three bedrooms and an area of 627 sq ft.
The large master bedroom has space for a closet, bedside table and dressing table.
The open kitchen features a long L-shaped table and rotating baskets to facilitate cooking.
The unit has two bathrooms.
The third show flat, based on unit H on 28th floor in Tower 3, is a one-bedroom unit featuring a balcony and floor-to-ceiling glass windows which allow ample light.
The redevelopment of the old airport runway in Kai Tak is progressing apace.
The government aims to complete a smart and green mass transit system in the area by 2031, three years earlier than previously planned. And the Kai Tak Sports Park - the largest and newest sports venue in the city - will open its doors next year.
