Apple poised to make AI leap

Apple is expected to unveil four artificial intelligence-powered updates at its Worldwide Developers Conference today, which will make it no longer be seen as a laggard in the fast-growing industry, said a renowned Apple analyst.

TF Securities analyst Kuo Ming-chi predicted that Siri's user experiences will be significantly improved and several applications including translation, search and photo editing will be enhanced by AI. He also forecast the integration of chatbots such as ChatGPT to enhance internet search services and in-app chatbots.

Kuo believes AI will be omnipresent in Apple's major applications, and the company's user interface design strengths will be on full display.

However he thinks Apple's new releases will have limited help on the sales of the iPhone 16 and its operating systems to be released in the fall.
