Fast food chain Fairwood (0052) said its interim net profit for the six months ended September fell nearly 15 percent to HK$13.2 million amid weaker consumer sentiment.
Revenue slipped 2.3 percent to about HK$1.52 billion. Sales from its Hong Kong quick-service restaurants eased almost 2 percent to HK$1.44 billion, while revenue from its Chinese mainland outlets dropped over 15 percent to HK$76.9 million.
As of end-September, Fairwood operated 150 fast-food restaurants in Hong Kong, a net addition of three. Its mainland network expanded to 23 stores, a net increase of four.
