Lenovo reports a 5pc fall in Q2 profit

China's Lenovo (0992) reported a 5 percent year-on-year drop in second-quarter profit on Thursday.

The world's largest personal computer maker posted revenue of US$20.5 billion (HK$159.9 billion) for the three months ended September 30, slightly ahead of analysts' expectations of US$20.3 billion, according to LSEG data.

Net profit attributable to shareholders was US$340 million, below the consensus estimate of US$449.4 million.

Its adjusted net profit attributable to shareholders grew 25 percent to US$512 million.
