Nikkei gains, Australian shares drop

Shares in Asia-Pacific were mixed in Tuesday morning trade, CNBC reports. 

Japan’s Nikkei 225 edged up by 0.11 percent in morning trade while the Topix index gained by 0.17. South Korea’s Kospi edged 0.62 percent higher.

Shares in Australia slipped, with the S&P/ASX 200 declining by 0.33 percent.
