Hong Kong’s securities regulator has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) to enhance cooperation in the supervision of cross-border investment management.
The Securities and Futures Commission said the agreement aims to strengthen compliance, governance, and regulatory alignment across borders.
The MoU was formalized during the 10th Belt and Road Summit in Hong Kong at a ceremony officiated by Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu.
The event was attended by SFC chairman Kelvin Wong Tin-yau, SFC chief executive Julia Leung Fung-yee, and DFSA chief executive Mark Steward.
Leung said this enhanced partnership with the DFSA demonstrates the mutual dedication to improving regional market connectivity and generating long-term benefits for both Hong Kong and the Dubai International Financial Centre as global financial hubs.
