A 17-year-old teenager died after saving the lives of three women, only to meet with a cold-blooded response of "I did not force him to save me" from one of them.
Han worked in Qinhuangdao, Hebei. He was watching the sunrise at the seaside with several colleagues at around 4 am on August 2, when they heard someone calling for help.
Han managed to save the three women with the help of his colleagues but was washed away by the waves when they tried to pull him back.
His body was found after 26 hours, leaving his family breaking down crying.
"The three girls from Liaoning went swimming as they were drunk that night", "They refused to show up," a post said.
A nurse claimed to be on duty that day said the rescued women left the hospital on their own before Han's body was found. Whereas their families stressed on the phone that they did not know Han, and did not acknowledge the fact that he has died for saving the women.
One of the women even commented on the short video platform, saying "I didn't beg him" and "he deserved to die". Netizens were utterly outraged after the commentary was exposed.
A video from a man who claimed to be the brother of one of the women be rescued went viral on August 10, saying that "she was rebellious", "thanks to Han, and sorry for what Wen Wen (the woman) has said"
Han's sister said in an interview that the women were too frightened to realize he had sacrificed for them, and hoped netizens to stop personal attacks.
The latest video shows that the three women appeared at Han's funeral, kneeling and crying in front of Han's father.
However, they were questioned to do so under the denunciation online.
