Jeane Freeman, the Scottish government's health minister, says there have been 37 more coronavirus-related deaths in the last 24 hours, Sky News reports.

Freeman also says she is aware of two incidents where someone pretending to be from the texting service for people shielding messaged people asking for their personal details, and that that is being investigated as a "matter of urgency".

She explains: "Sadly incidents like this are not unexpected, there will always be a small number of people who seek to exploit any situation they can to defraud others. But we will continue to do everything we can to prevent this from happening."
