Laos tested 62 more suspected cases which two of them are positive Saturday, bringing the total number in the country to 18.

The Southeast Asian nation confirmed its first two cases of the coronavirus on March 24.
The two new cases are 32-year-old woman living in Lao capital Vientiane, they are friends and live in the same room. Both of them had a close contact with a 16th infected cases announced on Thursday, Lao Deputy Minister of Health, Phouthone Meaungpak told a press conference in Lao Capital Vientiane on Saturday.
The patients are treated in Mittaphab Hospital and they are not in serious condition.
As of Saturday, Laos tested 1,094 suspected cases, with 18 cases were tested positive.

Travelers at the immigration post by the second Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge in Mukdahan, as the border crossing was being closed on March 23 due to concerns over the spread of the coronavirus.
