New Zealand and Saudi Arabia has announced restrictions in visitors to governments across the world struggle to prevent the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Jacinda Ardern, New Zealand's Prime Minister, said all international visitors, including permanent residents, must be isolated for 14 days upon arrival starting from Sunday. Arrivals from Pacific islands countries with no confirmed cases would be spared from the quarantine regulations.

Cruise ships were also barred from docking at ports in New Zealand until 20 August.

The country has detected six confirmed cases with no fatalities so far, but evidence showed the numbers would inevitably rise due to a global pandemic.

Hong Kong travel agencies would be canceling tours to New Zealand in the face of the restrictions.

WWPKG said travel tours to New Zealand till April 15 would be canceled, and arrangements to tours starting from April 16 would be released in the future.

Another travel group Hong Thai Travel Services has announced the cancellation of New Zealand and Tunisia tours until April 15, those who applied for the tours would be offered other destinations, another tour in the coming six months or refunds.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia said international flights would be halted for two weeks starting from Sunday, while neighbouring country United Arab Emirates ordered the elderly to stay home.

WWPKG and Hong Thai Travel services have canceled tours to New Zealand until April 15.
