While the highly anticipated British rock band Coldplay concerts concluded successfully last night, three were arrested for allegedly entering the main venue without authorization.
The incident occurred around 8.30pm on Saturday (Apr 12), when an Indian bartender at the Kai Tak venue opened an emergency exit for his secondary schoolmates to join the concert.
A management staff member spotted the incident through CCTV footage and promptly reported it to the police.
Upon arrival, the police located the three suspects at the bar and near Gate B. Investigations revealed that the bartender had left the emergency door open for the two individuals, but he denied receiving any money for his action.
The trio, consisting of two Indians and one Nepalese, all aged between 21 and 23, faced charges of conspiracy to defraud.
In a related incident during the previous concert on Friday (Apr 11), three were arrested for entering without tickets under the guise of work during a police patrol on the first floor of the companion hall.
Among the arrestees was a 63-year-old cleaning company owner accompanied by his son, both were brought in by a 41-year-old cleaning manager.
