China will promote the inclusion of industries including camping into categories encouraging foreign investment, in a bid to boost the domestic demand amid the escalating Sino-US tariff wars.
China's Commerce Minister Wang Wentao wrote in an article that the country will also add services consumption areas like guesthouses, property services and internet medical services to the list.
The article, titled "A Combination of Actions to Boost Service Consumption," was published in the influential Communist Party journal Qiushi. Wang concurrently urged further promotion of opening-up and high-quality service offerings, in line with the residents' consumption structure upgrade trend.
China now faces up to 245 percent tariffs on imports to the United States, according to a White House Fact sheet.
