Positive close for HK blue chips

Hong Kong shares closed higher today as health officials eased some border restrictions for travelers.

The benchnmark Hang Seng Index climbed by 1.22 percent, or 295.82 points, to 24,575.96. 

In mainland China, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index dipped by 0.19 percent, or 5.47
points, at 2,810.02. The Shenzhen Stock Exchange Composite Index fell by 0.32 percent, or 5.84 points, to 1,732.56.
