Multiple bear sightings have been reported near Kyoto's famous Arashiyama district and residential areas over the past two days, though no injuries have been confirmed.

According to Japanese media, five separate bear sightings occurred around the city, including near popular tourist spots. On Friday evening, two cubs were spotted in a bamboo grove in Kyoto City, while two additional bear sightings were reported near the scenic Hirosawa Pond in the city's suburbs.

Early Saturday morning, police received a report of what appeared to be a bear cub on a road approximately 800 meters west of JR Saga-Arashiyama Station, north of the World Heritage site Tenryu-ji Temple and near the famous bamboo path frequently visited by tourists.
Local authorities are warning residents and visitors to remain cautious while investigations continue.
