Kim Soo Hyun faces growing backlashes amid escalating dispute with late Kim Sae Ron's family

Kim Soo Hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, issued a second statement on Saturday responding to the recent controversy with the late actress Kim Sae Ron and expressing the desire for a private meeting with Kim Sae Ron's mother. 

Agency calls for private meeting with Kim Sae Ron's family 

The statement came after photos and other materials from the YouTube channel Garosero Research surfaced, with the agency condemning the unauthorized sharing of sensitive content and noting that Kim Soo Hyun has been suffering from online rumors and negative allegations by the channel.

The agency underlined disparities between Kim Sae Ron's mother's stance and its knowledge of events.

The statement also voiced concern that the family's approach to the situation may not effectively restore the late actress's reputation, expressing hope for a direct meeting with Kim Sae Ron's mother to provide further explanation.

The agency also called for an end to the public dispute and invited the family to contact the management team anytime, confirming its commitment to transparency while prioritizing all parties' emotional well-being.

Family seeks apologies amid distressing revelations

In response to the statement, a controversial photo of Kim Soo Hyun washing dishes with his lower body exposed and censored at Kim Sae Ron's home was unveiled on the same night (Mar 15), sparking discussions among Korean netizens.

Speaking on the YouTube channel, Kim Sae Ron's family expressed their desire to receive an apology from both Kim Soo Hyun and YouTuber Lee Jin Ho for their child's distress. 

Additionally, it is reported that the family plans to file a lawsuit against Lee Jin Ho for spreading false information and behaving disrespectfully at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on Monday (Mar 17) at the earliest. They revealed Kim Sae Ron attempted to take her own life more than six times in one day due to the fallout from Lee's videos.

Korean Netizens urge for the truth

Following the latest release of Kim Soo Hyun's private photo, some Korean media have voiced support for the actor, arguing the mother compromised their daughter's dignity by airing their private lives.

While some people started to sympathize with Kim Soo Hyun, other netizens compared the interior in the background with Kim Sae Ron's home, urging Kim Soo Hyun to be honest about their relationship.

As Kim Sae Ron's home decor was once shared on a reality show "On & Off" in 2020,  viewers pointed out the matched elements including cabinets, sink, and shelving, calling on him to stop lying and confront the truth.
