Cathay Pacific cancels 22 flights over two days due to extreme weather

Cathay Pacific announced on Friday that it will cancel 22 flights over the next two days after extreme weather triggered major disruptions at Hong Kong International Airport.

The airline said 13 flights today and 9 tomorrow will be grounded after yesterday's Black Rainstorm Warning and Red Lightning Alert which has forced the prolonged suspension of airport operations causing heavy delays.

Aircraft and crew schedules *are affected, with some planes forced to stay overnight at outstations.*
