Speaking on a television program on Sunday, Choi noted that several local universities have signed agreements with Harvard University, allowing students coming from the US to transfer credits directly after completing their courses in Hong Kong to minimize the impact on students.
Choi also highlighted local universities' efforts to attract global talent, revealing that over 70 percent of teaching staff and professors are non-locals.
Additionally, Choi described some professors as toiling unheralded in researching sensitive areas, expressing hope that they will remain unaffected by the ongoing tension between China and the US.
