Pop Mart (9992)’s independent accessory label POPOP opened its second global store in Beijing on Saturday, with Labubu-themed bracelets going nearly out of stock amid the toy titan’s intellectual property brands sparking worldwide frenzy.

Mainland media reported that a number of items for Pop Mart's three most popular characters – Labubu, Hirono, and Molly – have sold out.

Certain pieces are priced as high as 20,000 yuan (HK$21,866.60).

Most POPOP products are priced between 319 yuan and 2,699 yuan, with the most expensive item being a necklace crafted from pure gold and natural pearls, retailing at 19,800 yuan.

Women account for more than 80 percent of customers. The Beijing store reportedly recorded over 10 transactions per hour, with average spending exceeding 400 yuan.

Meanwhile, Chinese customs authorities reported the seizure of 144 Pop Mart figurines, all identified as those from Labubu 3.0 blind boxes.

Wuhan Tianhe International Airport customs discovered the items during an inspection of inbound passengers who had opted for the "no declaration" channel.

The travelers claimed they were transporting the items on behalf of others for resale.
