Ceci Lee Sze-wing defends National Games road race gold

Cyclist Ceci Lee Sze-wing successfully defended her gold medal in the women's road race event on Sunday at the 15th National Games.

Lee outplayed the other 100 opponents at the finishing line to triumph in the individual race event, in which a total of six Hong Kong cyclists are competing.

The race starts in Zhuhai and the 138.7-kilometer course passes through Lovers' Avenue, the artificial island at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and Hengqin.

Lee will be receiving HK$750,000 cash incentives under the Jockey Club Athlete Incentive Awards Scheme, which HKJC sponsors the Hong Kong Sports Institute to provide cash awards to local athletes who excel in major sporting events.
