Police received a report from staff at a hotel on 3 Tsuen Wah Street in Tsuen Wan around 6 p.m. yesterday (19th), indicating that a male guest was suspected to have committed suicide in his room.
Emergency personnel arrived to find the man unconscious in the room with two pans of burned charcoal beside him. He was transported by ambulance to Yan Chai Hospital for emergency treatment but was later pronounced dead.
Police investigation confirmed the victim was a 32-year-old man surnamed Tsui. A suicide note was found at the scene. The cause of death awaits confirmation by autopsy. Sources indicate the man was unhappy due to financial problems.
