World-leading all-through education for ages three to 19
The English Schools Foundation (ESF) is the largest international school organisation in Hong Kong. Our 22 schools offer an all-through education from kindergarten to primary, and then on to secondary. We have more than 18,000 students from 75 different countries in our schools, and diversity and inclusiveness are among our key core values. Our schools are located across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories.
Personalised learning at all levels
At ESF, we recognise that every child is unique. We meet each and every child where they are at, and our goal is to provide students with personalised learning at all levels to cater to their specific needs. At the senior secondary level, students are individually supported in selecting their preferred pathway of studies leading to university or a career.

Outstanding academic and wider achievements
ESF is proud of the world-leading academic performance and co-curricular achievements of our students. Consistently, our graduates have topped the world in their IB exam results. In 2022, 43 students attained the maximum score 45 points, and the average point score across the cohort was 38, significantly higher than the global average of 32 points. With these extraordinary results, almost all ESF graduates were admitted into their top-choice universities around the world. Alongside their rigorous academic studies, ESF students are supported to develop their passions and attain very high standards in areas including sport, art, music and drama.
Chinese for every student
Chinese language and culture is an integral part of an ESF education. Every student has the opportunity to learn and excel in Chinese. We cater for students with differing levels of Chinese proficiency or language background.
