Singapore reported 61 addtional coronavirus patients as of noon on today, including two in the community and three imported infections, said the Ministry of Health.

It is the lowest number of daily patients since April 2, when 49 new patients were reported. Tuesday's cases bring the total number of infections in the country to 55,353, Channel News Asia reports.

Both community patients were Singaporeans, the ministry said in its initial daily update. The three imported cases were placed on stay-home notices upon arrival in Singapore.

The vast majority of infections were work permit holders under quarantine.
